Job Title: CT/X-ray Technologist

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled CT/X-ray Technologist to join our team at HexaQuEST Health, Inc. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in radiologic technology and experience with CT and X-ray equipment. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of diagnostic imaging procedures, including CT and X-ray scans, and will work closely with our radiologists to ensure accurate and high-quality images.

Responsibilities:
  • Transport patients to and from exam rooms, positioning them as needed for diagnostic imaging procedures.
  • Assist patients as needed to reduce motion on images and ensure accurate diagnoses.
  • Select technical factors for individual patient exams, taking into account patient size, age, and medical history.
  • Operate all equipment in the Radiology Department, including CT and X-ray scanners, and ensure proper maintenance and calibration.
  • Protect patients according to X-ray Department policies and procedures, including the use of lead aprons and shielding.
  • Document patient responses to pertinent information, including medical history and allergies.
  • Assist in performing special procedures, such as fluoroscopy and CT-guided biopsies.
  • Assist in the training of Radiology students and new staff members.
  • Practice sterile technique and Universal Precaution to prevent the spread of infection.
  • Maintain all records according to X-ray Department policies and procedures.
  • Clean rooms following each examination and restock linen and supplies as needed.

Requirements:
  • Two years of previous experience in radiologic technology preferred.
  • Satisfactory completion of formal radiology technology training in an AMA-approved school and registration by the ARRT.
  • Registered/certified CT Technologist required.
  • BLS Certification Required.

Work Schedule:
Work 3 days a week, 12-hour shifts. Work days will vary and could include weekends. Occasional call to be shared by all CT/X-ray staff (on call for critical emergencies only).
