Overview of Auto Body Technician Role

The Boyd Group, a leading provider of collision repair services, seeks an experienced Auto Body Repair Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in delivering exceptional customer experiences through expert vehicle restoration.

About the Job

This is a highly skilled position that requires a deep understanding of vehicle body repair methods and procedures. As an Auto Body Repair Specialist, you will work closely with other team members to ensure timely completion of repairs while maintaining the highest quality standards.

You will be responsible for:

  • Meticulously assessing and repairing vehicles to restore them to pre-accident condition
  • Executing WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan consistently
  • Preparing cost estimates for customers and planning repair work
  • Using various tools such as cutting guns, plasma cutters, hydraulic jacks, hammers, and pliers to repair sections of a vehicle

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent required
  • Successful completion of technical school program OR a 3-year apprenticeship as an auto body repairer
  • Ability to read job orders and work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work safely in a noisy area with many odors present
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds at times
