Job Summary

CommonSpirit Health is seeking an experienced Inventory Specialist to join our team. As an Inventory Specialist, you will be responsible for managing inventory levels, replenishing stock, and requisitioning products within assigned areas of high value goods.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inventory Management: Restock supplies daily, rotate inventory, and generate orders/requisitions as needed to maintain accurate inventory levels.
  • Supply Distribution: Distribute medical supplies and equipment to patient care areas, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.
  • Inventory Monitoring: Monitor par levels for specific products, identifying opportunities to optimize inventory levels and minimize waste.
  • Inventory Control: Identify excess inventory, return stock, and process credits, notifying supervisors of outdates or slow-moving inventory.
  • Collaboration: Work with reprocessing resources, leadership, and buyers to optimize usage of reprocessed products and act as a liaison between clinical staff and supply chain management.
  • Inventory Counting: Conduct annual inventory counts to determine asset value and identify areas for improvement.
  • Consigned Inventory: Manage consigned inventory and process bill-only's as appropriate.
Requirements
  • Education: High school graduate, GED, or equivalent.
  • Experience: Minimum of three (3) years' experience in inventory management or a related field.
  • Skills: Ability to communicate clearly, computer savvy, and able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Knowledge: Basic knowledge of supply chain applications, automated ERP systems, and processes.
