Playcenter Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Playcenter Attendant to join our team at the YMCA of Metro Atlanta. As a Playcenter Attendant, you will play a vital role in providing care and leadership to children between the ages of three months and twelve years.

The Playcenter Attendant is responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of children in our care. This includes leading activities, maintaining a clean and organized environment, and building positive relationships with children and their families.

• Provide high-quality care and leadership to children in our Playcenter
  
• Lead activities and games that promote social, emotional, and cognitive development
  
• Maintain a clean and organized environment that promotes a positive and safe learning space
  
• Build positive relationships with children and their families through effective communication and engagement
  
• Collaborate with other staff members to ensure the smooth operation of the Playcenter
  
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge
  
• Ensure compliance with all relevant policies, procedures, and regulations

• Must be at least 16 years of age
  
• Experience working with children in a structured setting
  
• Ability to pass a background check and any other required screening
  
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays
