Job Summary

The Customer Support and Administrative Associate in the Certification and Credentialing Services Department at the National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC) is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, performing day-to-day administrative tasks, and providing support in accordance with NBCC and Center for Credentialing & Education policies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to incoming calls, emails, and provide customer service to stakeholders internally and externally.
  • Utilize computers for various applications, such as database management or word processing.
  • Perform day-to-day administrative tasks, including processing transcripts, maintaining files, and drafting correspondence.
  • Transfer incoming communications to appropriate team members or reply accordingly.
  • Prepare and distribute certificates, and manage departmental communications.
  • Organize and file documentation, including mail, status option change forms, and verification of certification.
  • Scan and upload documents for electronic storage, and maintain records of saved items.
  • Maintain paper or electronic filing systems, recording information, updating paperwork, or documenting correspondence.
  • Assist with database maintenance for participating universities, graduate student applications, special examination accommodations, and certification cycles.
  • Gather caller information to assist in resolving issues, clarify issues, determine causes, expedite solutions, and follow up to ensure resolution.
  • Provide customer service, maintaining thorough knowledge of procedures and processes.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • An associate degree or equivalent from a 2-year college or technical school.
  • Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Benefits
  • A competitive salary range of $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
  • Hybrid work arrangement requiring a minimum of 3 days in the office.
  • Up to 5% travel requirement.
