The Job

The MAD Greens Shift Leader is enthusiastic and passionate about providing guests with the best hospitality experience possible. This position is accountable for opening and closing the restaurant as needed, providing ongoing support to the General Manager and Assistant General Manager, and driving the MAD Greens culture of having fun and contributing to the collaborative spirit of the team.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the restaurant while the General Manager and Assistant General Manager are not present.
  • Monitor the training and development of existing and new team members, including MAD Greens operational policies and procedures, cash handling, and safety/security procedures.
  • Delegate duties and assigned tasks, and follow up with team members.
  • Greet guests to make them feel comfortable and welcome.
  • Assist in preparing food items, including prepping menu items using equipment like knives, juicers, grills, ovens, food processors, and blenders.
  • Check food quality and food temperatures throughout the day to ensure that food is fresh and safe to serve.
  • Follow sanitation and safety procedures, including knife handling and kitchen equipment.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the restaurant and ensure proper opening and closing procedures are being followed.
  • Ensure that team members take guests' orders and handle accurate cash and credit transactions.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the brand and menu items.
  • Effectively handle guest concerns and complaints and escalate them to the appropriate person in Management.
  • Direct the team to prepare the restaurant for each shift.
  • Act with integrity, honesty, and knowledge that promotes the culture of MAD Greens.
  • Maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality.
  • Contribute to a positive team environment.

  • Team-oriented, adaptable, dependable, and strong work ethic.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Must be able to lift 10 lbs.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time on scheduled shifts.
