Pediatric Endocrinology Leader

As a leader in pediatric endocrinology, you will oversee clinical practice programs, enhance multi-disciplinary clinical and research programs, direct fellowship programs, and foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Your vision for program development and leadership qualities will drive success in this role.
The Department of Pediatrics at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus is one of the nation's premier academic pediatric programs. Its clinical and educational programs are consistently rated among the top ten nationally by US News and World Report. The Department is seeking qualified candidates to lead the Section of Pediatric Endocrinology and advance clinical care, research, and education. In this role, you will be responsible for ongoing program development, overseeing clinical practice programs, enhancing multi-disciplinary clinical and research programs, directing the fellowship program, and fostering strong, collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders. You will also oversee the programmatic and financial operations of the Section to ensure financial and human resources are available to support research, clinical care, educational, and advocacy/policy activities. Additional responsibilities include developing innovative clinical, educational, and research programs to enhance the local standing and national reputation of the Section and building partnerships with affiliate institutions and community organizations locally, nationally, and internationally.
To be successful in this role, you must have a Doctor of Medicine (MD/DO) or Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree, board certification in Pediatrics or a pediatric specialty, and licensure or eligibility for licensure in the State of Colorado. You should have experience working with diverse patient populations and demonstrate a commitment to faculty career development through mentoring. Additionally, PhD candidates should have a history of strong and continuous extramural funding and academic success in an area related to the section's research strengths. Experience building constructive relationships and ensuring cohesiveness among various entities, programs, and groups is also essential. A vision for program development, leadership qualities, and academic experience are key qualifications for this role.
