Job Summary:

The Senior Biostatistician will lead the design, conduct, management, and analysis of research projects and clinical trials at InsideHigherEd. This role requires technical skills and managerial expertise to facilitate project operations and provide study design, supervision, programming, analysis, and reporting support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement study designs, protocols, and data management plans
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff members in biostatistics and data analysis
  • Collaborate with Principal Investigators to ensure project goals and objectives are met
  • Analyze and interpret complex data sets, including healthcare claims and clinical trial data
  • Develop and maintain databases, data dictionaries, and data documentation
  • Communicate results and findings to stakeholders through reports, presentations, and publications
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and new methodologies in biostatistics and data analysis

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Biostatistics, Statistics, or a related field
  • Advanced SAS programming knowledge and experience
  • Proficiency in R, SQL, and/or SPSS or Stata
  • Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office and data visualization tools
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and quality
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
  • Leadership and supervision experience, with ability to manage multiple projects and priorities

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in Biostatistics or a related field
  • Experience working in a research or academic setting
  • Publication record in peer-reviewed journals
