Job Title: Behavioral Health Specialist III

At Institute for Comm Living, we are seeking a highly skilled Behavioral Health Specialist III to join our team. As a key member of our multi-disciplinary treatment team, you will play a vital role in assisting individuals with serious and persistent mental illness in their personal recovery.

Job Summary:

The Behavioral Health Specialist III will work collaboratively with individuals, their families, and other stakeholders to provide comprehensive support services. This includes developing healthy working relationships, addressing basic needs, and facilitating psychiatric care. You will also participate in crisis intervention services, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, within the community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage individuals in their personal recovery by developing a healthy working relationship.
  • Collaborate with the individual and the rest of the IMT Team to obtain/maintain basic needs, including housing, food, and clothing.
  • Participate in crisis intervention services, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, within the community.
  • Work with individuals to address substance use issues, connect and monitor healthcare, and obtain appropriate entitlements.
  • Facilitate psychiatric care and assist with vocational goals.
  • Participate in the provision of crisis intervention services to participants 24 hours a day, seven days a week, within the community.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, mental health counseling, criminal justice, or other health and human services related field.
  • Minimum of one year working with individuals with serious mental illness, substance use, homelessness, and criminal justice involvement.
