Job Summary:

Allina Health's Mental Health and Addiction Clinical Service Line offers a comprehensive continuum of care, including integrated psychiatry, specialty outpatient clinics, addiction/co-occurring services, partial hospitalization, day treatment, emergency, and inpatient care.

Key Position Details:

This role supports adult outpatient and adult partial hospitalization programs, allowing psychiatrists to work closely with patients and their families. The partial hospitalization program involves meeting with patients 2-3 times a week for about 3 weeks, with the option for family sessions. The patient case load varies from 8 to 24, based on program size and provider FTE.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess patients for appropriateness for level of care and program
  • Provide direct clinical care in psychiatry, including brief assessments and interventions
  • Develop behaviorally-focused, outcomes-based treatment plans of care addressing mental health, functional impairment, and co-occurring addictive or medical disorders
  • Collaborate with the treatment team, patient, and family to develop treatment plans
  • Actively participate in a multidisciplinary team approach to case management

Requirements:

  • MD, DO, or foreign equivalency training required
  • BE/BC with ABMS or AOA required
  • Active, non-restricted medical license in MN (or ability to obtain)
  • Ability to obtain and/or maintain MN DEA certification and National Provider Identifier (NPI)
