Job Title: MRI Technologist

We are seeking a highly skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at NYC Health + Hospitals/Gotham Health. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing medically prescribed MRI procedures with precision and care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement patient procedures in accordance with departmental protocols and standards.
  • Position patients and MRI equipment appropriately to ensure maximum information is obtained.
  • Follow accepted MRI procedures, review patient information sheets, and consider various protocols and rationales in determining positioning and technique.
  • Solve problems that arise during patient examinations using technical knowledge and innovation.
  • Assist physicians as needed during procedures and perform transmission and/or segmentation for transmission to PACS in a complete and proper anatomic display.
Requirements:
  • Valid license and current registration to practice Diagnostic Radiography as a Radiologic Technologist issued by the NYSDOH.
  • Two years of Radiologic Technologist experience performing duties consistent with Assignment Levels I and II, one year of which must have been in a supervisory capacity.
  • Advanced clinical skills for administering and monitoring radiology procedures.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of radiology procedures and safe radiation practices.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Radiologic Tech License - NYS, Am Registry of Radiologic Tech.
  • ARRT Primary Certification/Registration New York State License (Radiologic technology).
  • BLS Certified.
