We are seeking a skilled Electrical Installation Specialist to join our team at TradeCorp. This is a full-time opportunity for an experienced professional who can work on commercial electrical projects.

As an Electrical Installation Specialist, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in commercial settings. You will work closely with our experienced tradespeople and supporting team members to ensure precision, attention to safety, and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret blueprints, circuit diagrams, and other technical documentation to complete electrical installations.
  • Measure, cut, and bend wire and conduit with precision using hand tools and measuring instruments.
  • Connect wiring to circuit breakers, transformers, and other electrical components.
  • Assemble, install, and test electrical equipment and systems, ensuring proper function; work may require use of ladders, scaffolds, or roofs.
  • Drill holes and maneuver wiring through designated openings using hand and power tools.
  • Place conduit, pipes, or tubing within walls, partitions, and other areas, pulling insulated wires or cables through these to complete circuit connections.
  • Install low voltage systems, including electronic fire alarms, pull stations, strobes, horns, detectors, and exit signs, as well as other related building systems.
  • Fabricate or construct parts as per specifications using hand tools.
  • Perform physically demanding tasks, such as trench digging for conduit installation or moving/lifting heavy objects.
  • Inspect electrical units for loose connections or insulation damage, making necessary repairs.
  • Disassemble faulty electrical equipment, replace worn parts, and reassemble as needed.
  • Lead and assist less-experienced employees, providing guidance and training as required.

Requirements:

  • Experience: At least 2 years of experience with single and three-phase power for Mechanics, and a minimum of 5 years in the role for Journeymen/Foremen.
  • Skills: Proficient in speaking, reading, and writing English, and strong understanding of PPE use and possession of own trade tools.
  • Availability: Available to work Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with potential for overtime.
  • Additional Requirements: Reliable transportation, positive attitude, and ability to work well in a team environment.
