English Language Instructor

Key ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will be responsible for teaching ESOL to adults of diverse backgrounds, delivering engaging lessons that integrate academic and employment skills, and creating a safe and inclusive classroom environment. They will also collaborate with Career Advisors to ensure students are progressing towards their goals, conduct regular assessments, and utilize Google Classroom to promote digital literacy. Additionally, they will communicate classroom/student issues to the Program Director and maintain accurate attendance records.
Required Skills and QualificationsTo succeed in this role, you will need a Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Education, and hold a TESOL, TEFL, or Celta certificate. You must also be eligible to live and work in the US, have effective communication and classroom management skills, and be comfortable using Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, and Zoom. Bilingualism is a plus.
Working ConditionsThis part-time position requires 15 hours of paid teacher time per week, including evenings and bi-monthly staff meetings. You will teach in-person and via Zoom, utilizing Google Classroom to facilitate student learning. Paid professional development opportunities will also be provided.
Estimated Salary RangeWe offer a competitive salary range of $40,000-$50,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits.
