Heavy Duty Vehicle Technician

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Duty Vehicle Technician with expertise in heavy vehicle maintenance and repair, particularly with Diesel engines. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing our fleet of vehicles and heavy trucks, ensuring they operate at peak performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct Regular Maintenance: Perform routine preventive maintenance and repairs on a fleet of heavy trucks and vehicles to guarantee optimal performance.
- Order Parts: Manage inventory and order necessary parts to ensure timely repairs, minimizing downtime and increasing productivity.
- Track Equipment: Maintain accurate records of equipment usage and maintenance, enabling data-driven decision making.
- Assist Lead Mechanic: Collaborate with the lead mechanic on complex repairs and troubleshooting, leveraging collective knowledge to resolve issues efficiently.
- Maintain Logs: Keep detailed maintenance logs and records, providing transparency and accountability.
- Work Under Pressure: Handle repair tasks efficiently, even in challenging conditions and weather, demonstrating adaptability and resilience.
Qualifications:
- Diesel Engine Knowledge: Must have extensive experience with Diesel engines, including diagnosis, repair, and maintenance.
- Driver's License: A valid Driver's License is required, with a CDL being a plus but not mandatory. A clean driving record is essential for safe operation.
- Bilingual: Proficiency in additional languages is a valuable asset.
- Skills: Ability to work under pressure, perform well in various weather conditions, and maintain attention to detail.
- Team Player: Strong ability to assist and collaborate with others, fostering a culture of teamwork and open communication.
