AVID Tutor

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and patient English language instructor to join our team at Lake Elsinore Unified School District. As an AVID Tutor, you will be responsible for providing academic support and guidance to students in the AVID program, focusing on developing their English language skills and promoting academic success.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide individualized support and instruction to students in the AVID program, focusing on English language development and academic skills.
- Assist students in understanding and completing assignments, projects, and other academic tasks.
- Develop and implement lesson plans and instructional materials to meet the needs of students.
- Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment.

Requirements:

- High school diploma or equivalent required; current enrollment in a regionally accredited college or university program preferred.
- Bilingual skills highly desirable.
- Ability to maintain student confidentiality and work cooperatively with staff, students, parents, and the general public.
