We are seeking highly motivated and compassionate new graduate registered nurses to join our Nurse Residency Program in Virginia.

About the Program

The StaRN (Specialty Training Apprenticeship for Registered Nurses) program is a PAID nurse residency program designed to transition new graduates from the classroom to the acute care setting. The 1-year program consists of two parts: Training and Clinical Preceptorship.

Training (10-12 weeks)
  • Didactic Training: Core curriculum and hospital initiatives
  • Simulation Training: Reinforces nursing skills learned in the didactic setting
  • Hands-on Training: Application of clinical skill set in assigned department
Clinical Preceptorship (9 months)
  • New Nurse Pairing: Trained preceptor supports your growth
  • Monthly Resident Seminars: Focus on nursing issues key to quality outcomes
  • Routine Check-ins: Formal 30-60-90 day reviews by Nursing leadership
  • Capstone Project: Complete an evidence-based project and present it to the team
