Survey Technician

At Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson, we are seeking a highly skilled Surveys Field Technician I to join our team. As a key member of our survey team, you will be responsible for setting up survey equipment to collect data and providing support for the field survey party.
Key Responsibilities:- Set up and operate survey equipment to collect data
- Label topographic features from field codes
- Perform calculations and conduct field investigations
- Document tasks and complete data entry
- Perform other related duties as assigned
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must successfully complete and pass JMT's Motor Vehicle screening
- Related experience preferred
Work is performed in the field 95% of the time, requiring extensive bending, kneeling, standing, shoveling, and lifting and carrying objects weighing up to 40 lbs as needed. Work may be conducted outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions. Weekday, out of town, work assignments may be required. Work is performed within a general office environment 5% of the time, which is generally sedentary in nature but may require occasional standing and walking.
