About the Role

The Purchasing Coordinator will play a critical role in ensuring the seamless execution of our purchase order process, material return process, warranty coordination, inventory fill rates, demand vs. supply balance, and pricebook maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Place purchase orders with suppliers using digital platforms
  • Manage materials returns process with digital returns
  • Ensure purchase order prices match invoices for accurate reconciliation
  • Optimize parts request process for maximum efficiency
  • Track and follow up on backorders and items in shipping limbo
  • Coordinate the receipt and shipping of all goods to maintain service metrics
  • Monitor inventory levels to prevent stock outs and communicate at-risk items
  • Forecast inventory needs by reviewing stock levels and SKU performance
  • Implement buyback programs for excess inventory as needed
  • Develop consignment parts/equipment relationships with vendors when necessary
  • Maintain an updated price book with current material costs
  • Negotiate prices and ensure excellent service from vendors
  • Cultivate a technical understanding of products
  • Collaborate with service, install, operations, accounting, and customer service teams
  • Own the warranty process and drive it forward
  • Assist with other warehouse tasks as needed
Requirements
  • Familiarity with general accounting concepts
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products
  • A self-starter with the ability to work independently and drive tasks to completion
  • Capable of learning on the fly with a focus on problem-solving
  • Strong attention to detail, particularly when dealing with data
  • Proven experience in supply chain management
  • Motivated, takes initiative, and possesses a strong work ethic
  • Ability to multitask within a structured environment
