Job Summary:
The Delivery Support Associate will assist drivers in making timely and accurate deliveries while providing exceptional customer service to our customers and sales teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist drivers in learning duties and responsibilities of the driver position.
- Support other departments within Operations when needed.
- Assist drivers in completing assigned routes while maintaining a positive attitude and professional appearance.
- Deliver all materials to locations indicated on the invoice.
- Inspect and sign off on marble tops to ensure product is delivered in good condition.
- Use company check-off and double-check procedures to ensure accurate delivery of all materials.
- Assist drivers at jobsites with backing by getting out of the vehicle and guiding the driver.
- Report to driver check-in after completing the route for the day.
- Assist with the unloading of extra and returned material while at driver check-in.
- Learn driver duties, including pre-trip and post-trip inspections, map reading skills, routing, and using the AS400 system.
- Assist the warehouse when needed and deliver special runs when returning from the route.
- Attend and participate in all required meetings and training classes.
