Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Heavy Duty Diesel Technician to join our team in Dayton, Ohio. As a key member of our maintenance crew, you will be responsible for performing routine vehicle maintenance, diagnosing and repairing complex mechanical issues, and ensuring the safe operation of our fleet.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake repairs
- Diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues, using diagnostic computers and other tools as needed
- Inspect and maintain equipment to ensure safe operation and prevent downtime
- Work closely with other technicians to troubleshoot and resolve complex problems
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors or management
Requirements and Qualifications
To be considered for this position, you must have:
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- One year or more experience in heavy duty diesel mechanics
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) Class A
- Ability to pass a Ryder drug test and DOT physical examination

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods
- Knowledge of computer systems and software
