Medical Provider for Bariatric Care

Mason City Clinic, a leading multi-specialty medical practice in Northwest Iowa and Southern Minnesota, is seeking a dedicated Physician Assistant to join our esteemed Bariatric department.
Job Summary:
- This role requires an individual with strong clinical skills and experience in performing surgical procedures under the direction of surgeons.
- The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, colleagues, and supervising physicians.
About the Position:
We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Physician Assistant who can work collaboratively with our team of healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist surgeons in performing surgical procedures, including preparing patients for surgery and ensuring proper documentation.
- Conduct thorough physical examinations, review patient histories, and order necessary instruments to ensure patient readiness.
- Make rounds on patients, review charts, nurse notes, laboratory data, and other relevant information to evaluate patient condition and notify supervising physicians of any abnormal findings.
Benefits and Compensation:
Our competitive salary package includes $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on experience. Additionally, we offer comprehensive benefits, including CME reimbursement, relocation assistance, health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, long-term care, life insurance, pet insurance, HSA/FSA, and an on-site fitness center.
Requirements:
- A bachelor's degree in medical science through an accredited physician assistant program.
- Prior experience in surgical procedures, preferably in a bariatric department.
- National certification as a Physician Assistant.
- Licensure by the state or ability to obtain prior to employment.
- Current DEA and state prescribing certificates.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
