Job Overview
As a Perinatal Care Specialist, you will play a critical role in our goal of providing high-quality care to pregnant women in our community. Your responsibilities will include providing direct or indirect care according to the applicable state Nurse Practice Act to patients who present with urgent, emergent or potential health problems as well as preventive care. Services will include, but are not limited to, general patient care, assistance with procedures, documentation of activities and patient/family education related to perinatal care. You will provide care utilizing established principles and ethical standards as well as policies and procedures established by Deaconess.

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program required
  • Obstetrical experience preferred but not required

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
You will need to hold current certification/license from one of the following:
  • Active RN license in state of employment
  • CPR provider certification required
