Punch Press Operator/ Automatic Specialist

As a skilled Punch Press Operator/ Automatic Specialist, you will be responsible for operating high-volume automated punch presses to produce quality parts.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Setting up and operating equipment, ensuring part quality, and performing inspections and packaging.
  • Identifying and addressing safety, process, material, quality, and equipment issues in a timely manner.
  • Performing one-piece flow processes in a multi-person workstation, completing daily production paperwork, and tracking production requirements.
  • Notifying team leaders or supervisors of process, material, and equipment problems, and promptly reporting quality issues.
  • Moving parts by hand or using manual or powered trucks, and understanding quality criteria for produced parts.
  • Performing die exchanges, locating and returning dies to correct locations, and taking accurate measurements and recording them into data collection software.

Requirements include:

  • Forklift certification or experience with forklift operation.
  • Experience with troubleshooting mechanical presses.
  • Experience with partial coating.

Physical requirements include:

  • Climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, bending, standing, handling materials, manipulating objects, and vision requirements.
  • Lifting objects weighing 5-75 pounds, with varying frequencies.

This role offers a competitive hourly rate of $17.75-$19.30 and a 3rd shift schedule, with training provided on 1st and 2nd shifts before transitioning to the 3rd shift.
