Electrical Engineer - MR Safety Specialist

At Medtronic, we're committed to pushing the boundaries of healthcare technology. As an Electrical Engineer - MR Safety Specialist, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the safety and efficacy of our medical devices in magnetic resonance environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct electromagnetic modeling and simulation to assess MR safety of implantable devices
  • Develop and implement test methods to characterize MR safety and verify adherence to standards
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate MR safety considerations into product development
  • Provide technical leadership on MR safety development and testing for implantable medical devices

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on MR safety and electromagnetic modeling
  • Strong understanding of electromagnetics and their interactions with medical devices
  • Proficiency in relevant multiphysics simulation tools, such as Sim4Life or ANSYS
