Job Summary

The Manager in Training will embark on an intensive training program aimed at developing essential skills and knowledge required for leadership roles within the restaurant. You will work closely with the management team to learn all facets of restaurant operations, including FOH, kitchen, financial oversight, guest services, and staff development.

This role is ideal for individuals seeking to advance their career in hospitality management within a dynamic and upscale dining environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage in an extensive training program, shadowing senior staff to learn daily operational responsibilities
  • Assist with managing daily restaurant operations, including staffing, scheduling, inventory, and financial management
  • Support the recruitment, training, and supervision of restaurant staff, ensuring adherence to Zuma's standards
  • Ensure high standards of food quality, service, cleanliness, and safety in compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Participate in service periods, learning how to handle guest relations, resolve issues, and maintain guest satisfaction
  • Gain experience in developing and implementing strategies to boost revenue and drive business growth
  • Assist in coordinating events and special projects aimed at enhancing guest experience and driving the restaurant's reputation
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you should have:

  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a managerial or supervisory role within the hospitality industry, preferably in a high-volume, upscale restaurant environment
  • Open to relocation, with willingness to work at any of Zuma's locations considered a plus
  • Bachelor's degree in hospitality management, business administration, or a related field preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with staff, guests, and vendors
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, with attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and restaurant management software is a plus
