We are seeking an experienced Culinary Operations Director to lead our restaurant operations and ensure a world-class culinary experience for our guests.

Job Description

The Culinary Operations Director will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of restaurant operations, including menu development, inventory management, and staff training. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Culinary Leadership

The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge of culinary fundamentals, including knife skills, butchery, sauces, and kitchen stations. They will also possess developed communication skills, both verbal and written, and be able to maintain compliance with all local, state, and federal laws and regulations.

Performance and Talent Development

This position requires a minimum of 3+ years of sous chef experience and 5+ years of kitchen experience. A culinary degree is preferred, and the individual must be able to supervise, train, and motivate multiple levels of employees. They will also need to assess and evaluate employee performance in a fair and consistent manner.

Ambassador of TFG Culture

The Culinary Operations Director will be expected to communicate ThinkFoodGroup's vision to team members, guests, students, vendors, and the community in a clear and positive manner. They will lead by example, demonstrating ownership, accountability, and initiative in daily tasks. This includes anticipating business needs and proactively addressing issues, as well as adjusting to circumstances and managing change effectively.

Manage Daily Operations

This role involves understanding, practicing, and teaching policies and procedures. The Culinary Operations Director will ensure concept vision and communicate policy to team members and managers. They will maintain a daily log to communicate between shifts and prevent issues from reoccurring.

Estimated Salary: $80,000 - $120,000 per year

This salary range is based on industry standards for a Culinary Operations Director with similar experience and qualifications in the José Andrés Group. It is subject to change based on location, performance, and other factors.
