Job Description

Aquila Technology is seeking a skilled Software Engineer to join our team in supporting a premier defense research organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up a software testbed for wireless network emulation, utilizing containers, custom programs, and graphical elements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and debug software applications in various programming languages.
  • Analyze software requirements, identify areas for improvement, and implement solutions.
  • Collaborate with the team to integrate software with existing systems and evaluate new technologies for implementation.
  • Maintain software standards compliance and implement localization or globalization of software.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on software-defined networking and containerization.
  • Strong understanding of software-defined networking concepts, container applications, and networking protocols (TCP/IP, OSPF, etc.).
  • Experience with Mininet, Python, Bash, Java, and software visualization development.
  • Ability to work in a network testbed environment and design, code, and debug applications.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
