With over 10 years of experience in opening public charter schools, USN has established itself as a leader in providing high-quality education to its students. Our network currently operates two high-performing elementary schools (K-5) and two high-performing middle schools (6-8) that serve more than 1,000 students.

We strive to provide students with a rigorous academic experience in a joyful learning environment, focusing on intentional student support and continual improvement.

Job Description

The School Systems Leadership position at USN supports our network and its schools through various areas of work including Curriculum, Development (fundraising), Facilities Management, Human Resources, Operations, Special Education, Student Enrollment, Talent, and Teaching & Learning.

This role requires detail-oriented, well-organized, self-starting individuals who can plan, assist, and execute strategic initiatives related to the larger goals of the organization.

School Systems Leadership positions work collaboratively with our school teams, students, families, and the wider community to support our mission.

Responsibilities
  • Support the development and implementation of curriculum and instructional programs
  • Assist in fundraising efforts to support the growth and development of USN
  • Manage facilities and operations to ensure a safe and effective learning environment
  • Provide human resources support to ensure the recruitment and retention of top talent
  • Develop and implement strategies for student enrollment and growth
  • Collaborate with teachers and staff to improve teaching and learning practices
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred
  • Three or more years of professional experience leading school or school system teams
  • Exceptional results may be substituted for the minimum experience qualifications
  • Broad knowledge of and experience working with K-12 public school systems
  • Committed to using data-driven instructional practices to improve student outcomes
  • Excellent project management skills and ability to manage priorities and work independently
  • Ability to build strong relationships across diverse groups of internal and external stakeholders
Benefits
  • Salary: $80,000 - $100,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications

  • Employees are eligible to participate in the State Teachers Retirement System of Ohio (STRS) or the School Employees Retirement System of Ohio (SERS)
