GIS Intern

Motorola Solutions is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented GIS Intern to join our Central Services team. As a GIS Intern, you will assist in analyzing and creating supporting GIS documentation, creating geographic datasets and supporting map documents, and assisting in analyzing existing datasets and creating supporting data reports.

• Analyze and create supporting GIS documentation
• Create geographic datasets and supporting map documents
• Assist in analyzing existing datasets and assist in creating supporting data reports
• Research new technologies

• Currently pursuing a BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Geography, or another GIS-related field with a graduation date on or after December 1, 2025
• Interested in GIS relating to public safety and CAD/RMS software
• Experience using ESRI products such as ArcMap, ArcCatalog, and/or ArcPro, ArcGIS Online to collect, analyze data, manipulate data, and create maps
• Ability to work independently as well as with other individuals in person as well as remotely
• Strong organizational skills to effectively manage multiple projects from inception to completion while keeping in mind deadlines
• Ability to perform basic computer functions, including data entry, document creation, and presentation development using standard software applications (i.e., Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
• Ability to effectively communicate in a professional setting
• Ability to demonstrate basic problem-solving skills
