Job Responsibilities
  • Provide short-term, non-medical counseling to military service members and their families.
  • Make referrals and handoffs to military and community resources as needed.
  • Deliver presentations and briefings to individuals and groups using approved training and materials.
  • Provide outreach services to parents and installation command staff.
  • Communicate information regarding trends and issues at assigned installations to supervisors.
  • Participate in regular in-service training, quality improvement committees, and other contract activities as assigned.
  • Submit daily activity reports to demonstrate 8 hours of direct daily contact.
Requirements
  • Licensure at the independent practice level (LCSW, LMFT, LPC LCPC, LMHC) in the State of Alaska.
  • Master's degree from an accredited graduate program in a mental health-related field.
  • Ability to pass all background/suitability checks.
  • Fluency in the English language.
  • A valid driver's license and willingness to travel 10% of the time.
Preferred Qualifications
  • MFLC experience.
  • Bilingual in Spanish.
  • Ability to interact with military members during routine unit activities.
