Child Behavioral Support Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated Child Behavioral Support Specialist to join our team at The Institute for Behavior Change. As a key member of our treatment team, you will work directly with children in various settings, including schools and homes, to implement their individualized treatment plans.

About the RoleThe Child Behavioral Support Specialist will be responsible for working one-on-one with a child to implement their treatment plan, which may include activities such as teaching new skills, reinforcing positive behaviors, and reducing problem behaviors. You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records of your interactions with the child and submitting regular reports to the treatment team.

Key Responsibilities- Work one-on-one with a child in a school or home setting to implement their individualized treatment plan.
- Maintain accurate records of interactions with the child and submit regular reports to the treatment team.
- Collaborate with the treatment team to develop and implement treatment plans that meet the unique needs of each child.
- Provide ongoing support and guidance to parents and caregivers to help them understand and implement the treatment plan.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A high school diploma (a bachelor's degree in psychology, education, social work, or a closely related field is highly preferred).
- Reliable transportation to and from service locations.
- A valid driver's license (if using personal vehicle).
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
We offer a competitive salary range of $21.00 to $25.00 per hour, based on credentials, as well as opportunities for ongoing paid training and professional development. We also provide benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, hospital indemnity, accident, and critical illness coverage. Paid time off and employer-paid group life insurance are also included.
Please note that the location of services will depend on the case(s) assigned to the Child Behavioral Support Specialist. We work to assign cases that are meaningful, close to home, and meet the desired number of hours per week (up to 40). Many of our clients require year-round support, so we need staff who are available to work a significant number of hours per week.
