Job Overview

The Finance and Payroll Coordinator will play a critical role in supporting the HR Department's goals and objectives, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations and compliance with employment laws.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare, submit, and audit weekly payroll and incentives, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Manage manual checks, inputs new hire hours, and assigns badge numbers, maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
  • Conduct Workday data entry, administer garnishments, and manage comm data cards, ensuring proper premiums and shift differentials are applied.
  • Ensure proper discipline is issued per the time and attendance policy, and manage vacation, sick, and deferred holidays, ensuring accurate payment.
  • Generate Workday Reports, including labor hour reporting, daily and weekly hours, time off reports, unmatched punches, corrective actions, meal waivers, and OT.
Financial Operations
  • Perform AP/AR functions, clearing employee store statements, and maintaining accurate financial records.
Filing and Administration
  • Responsible for maintaining HR filing for the department, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
Employee Services/HR Communications
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and contact for teammates and management regarding human resources policies, programs, and initiatives.
  • Resolve teammates' questions or concerns, providing timely and accurate information.
  • Assist with employee events, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.
Requirements
  • Knowledge and skill in payroll and employment law, with a proven track record of compliance.
  • Proven experience in building and maintaining professional relationships, with a strong customer service orientation.
  • Expertise in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and internet, with experience in Workday preferred.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Good attention to detail, with a strong interest in recruitment, employment branding, and general human resources practices.
