Career Summary

The Cath Lab CV Rad Technologist plays a vital role in our cardiovascular program, operating advanced equipment and collaborating with cardiologists to ensure exceptional patient care. This position involves preparing patients, maintaining a sterile environment, and training new hires while contributing to operational excellence within the facility.

Responsibilities
  1. Prepares equipment before and during procedures.
  2. Identifies and assesses patient condition, prepares, positions, and provides patient care.
  3. Maintains a sterile environment.
  4. Serves as preceptor for new hires and radiology students, participating in the orientation of new staff.
  5. Uses downtime appropriately by stocking rooms, checking equipment, and other delegated tasks by Charge person or manager.
  6. Maintains strong professional working relationships with physicians and leadership to facilitate excellent patient care.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Completion of 24-month formal program or military program of Radiologic Technology with American Registry of Radiologic Technologist eligibility and/or current RCIS certification.
  • Previous Procedural Area experience preferred.
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technology registration and/or RCIS certification in Cardiovascular (CV), Invasive (CI), or Vascular (VI).
  • BLS training required during orientation prior to providing patient care; current BLS maintenance required throughout employment; ACLS training must be achieved within 6 months of hire and maintained.
