Job Description

Vishay is seeking a highly experienced professional to lead our wafer fabrication operations as Vice President Wafer Fab Operations. This is a global role that can be located anywhere in the world, with preferred locations including our division headquarters in San Jose, California or near one of our many global manufacturing sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead front-end wafer fab operations in-house and foundries on a worldwide basis
  • Ensure efficient and effective wafer production, including processes, support systems, and equipment/tools
  • Develop and implement new fab operations from greenfield sites
  • Manage key subcontractor relationships with suppliers that support fab operations
  • Interface with industry, universities, and national laboratories to stay up-to-date with the latest developments and create pipelines for key talent
  • Forecast and track fab operation costs and keep costs under control and within budget
  • Implement a culture of continuous operational improvement within the Fab Operations team
  • Manage foundries to assure same KPIs execution as internal manufacturing
Requirements
  • Master's degree in material science, chemistry, physics, or electrical engineering
  • Minimum 15 years of management experience in Front End wafer Fab management positions
  • At least 10 years of experience in a Front End Factory or management of Front End managing engineers, maintenance, equipment engineering, process engineering, and operators
  • Experience in developing and implementing new Fab from greenfield will be a positive addition
  • Extensive know-how in 8D, OCAPs, and work instructions
  • Familiar with SPC, FDC, and automation systems
  • Strong leader that can effectively communicate to create a strong team environment, inspire excellence, and followership
