Job Summary

As a Physician Assistant in Dermatology, you will be responsible for diagnosing and treating a wide range of skin conditions, disorders, and diseases, providing comprehensive care to patients seeking dermatological services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough patient evaluations, including medical history, physical examinations, and assessment of skin conditions.
  • Diagnose and differentiate between various dermatological conditions, such as acne, eczema, psoriasis, skin infections, and skin cancers.
  • Develop personalized treatment plans for patients, considering medical history, skin type, and individual needs.
  • Prescribe medications, topical treatments, or other interventions based on evidence-based practices and guidelines.
  • Educate patients on skin conditions, treatment options, and preventative measures, skincare routines, and sun protection to promote skin health.
  • Address patient concerns, questions, and provide information about potential side effects of treatments.
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient records, including medical history, assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements related to patient recordkeeping and confidentiality.
Requirements
  • Board certification as a Physician Assistant in Dermatology or a relevant field.
  • State licensure as a PA and prescriptive authority.
  • Strong clinical skills, including the ability to diagnose and treat a wide range of dermatological conditions.
  • Excellent communication skills to educate patients and collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
  • High proficiency in computer usage, electronic health records systems, and other medical software.
  • Commitment to patient-centered care, ethical practice, and ongoing professional development.
