Ophthalmic Consultants of Boston (OCB) is a renowned eye care provider with a national and international reputation for excellence. We are seeking a highly skilled Ophthalmic Technician II to join our team in providing comprehensive ophthalmic care.

**Job Summary:**
Under the direct supervision of the department supervisor, the Ophthalmic Technician II plays a crucial role in providing ophthalmic care. The technician is responsible for assisting the physician in gathering patient data and maintaining a conducive clinical environment.

**Key Responsibilities:**

* Conduct visual acuity testing, visual field testing, lensometry, auto refractometry, refractometry, pupil assessment, extraocular motility, gross external examination, applanation tonometry, tonopen, eye drop instillation, and diagnostic testing.
* Participate in patient care within a clinical setting.
* Maintain patient medical records, ensuring efficient and organized workflow.

**Requirements:**

* High school diploma or equivalent required.
* Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA), Certified Ophthalmic Technician (COT), Certified Ophthalmic Medical Technologist (COMT), Ophthalmic Scribe Certification (OSC), Certified Retinal Angiographer (CRA), or Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT-C) required.
* Minimum of 3 years of experience as a COA, COT, COMT, OSC, CRA, or OCT-C.
* Proficiency in all aspects of ophthalmic patient care, including advanced procedures.
* Demonstrated proficiency in refractometry, applanation tonometry, and other ophthalmic tests.
* Ability to troubleshoot most eye issues and work with various electronic health record systems.
* Some experience with diagnostic testing.
