Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Developmental Psychologist to join our team at Kaiser Permanente. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting comprehensive neurodevelopmental evaluations for patients with suspected developmental disorders. This will involve collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform thorough neurodevelopmental evaluations to diagnose and assess patients with developmental disorders, including Autism Spectrum Disorder and Global Developmental Delays.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the treatment team, including direct intervention and consultation with other professionals and family members.
  • Provide consultation to patients and families regarding the patient's condition, functional status, prognosis, and training and educational options.
  • Consult with other medical departments to assist in diagnostic clarification and development of treatment programs for patients with complex needs.
  • Participate in clinical activities with developmental pediatricians, neurologists, psychiatrists, and other healthcare professionals.
Requirements
  • Doctorate degree in Psychology from an American Psychological Association accredited doctoral program.
  • One-year doctoral internship with training in human development/neurodevelopment, or two or more years of work experience and/or training specific to assessment of neurodevelopmental disorders.
  • Possession of a Psychologist License in California and a National Provider Identifier.
  • Ability to practice under Business and Professional Code Section 2946.
  • Documented experience working as a member of an interdisciplinary team in a psychiatric, pediatric, and/or neurodevelopmental setting.
