Psychiatric Support Technician

In this rewarding role as a Patient Care Advocate at Universal Health Services, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of patients with mental health and substance use disorders. As a member of our multidisciplinary team, you will contribute to delivering high-quality care and promoting patient safety and well-being.
Your key responsibilities will include facilitating group activities, monitoring patient locations, and providing crisis intervention when necessary. You will work closely with healthcare professionals to ensure that patients receive personalized care and support. To succeed in this role, you will need a High School Diploma or equivalent, with some college coursework preferred. Experience may be accepted in lieu of college course work. A strong understanding of emotional and mental health and disease concepts, including the disease of addiction, is also essential. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are critical for this position.
