Administrative Accounting Specialist

A highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Accounting Specialist is sought to join Naniq Global Logistics' team in Anchorage. This role will be responsible for delivering top-tier administrative and secretarial support to the Finance and Human Resource Teams.

Job Description:This position involves managing confidential information, contributing to special projects, executing office opening/closing procedures, welcoming guests and clients, and assisting with accounts payable processes. The successful candidate will possess excellent organization, communication, and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to handle sensitive information.
Responsibilities:- Accounts Payable Weekly Check Runs: Coordinate and execute weekly check runs for vendor payments.
- Corporate Credit Card Processing: Manage corporate credit card processing, ensuring timely payment of invoices and adherence to internal financial controls.
- Invoice Processing: Review, verify, and enter invoices into the accounting system, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Payment Processing: Prepare and process electronic transfers, checks, and wire payments for vendors and employees.
- Vendor Management: Maintain and update vendor records, respond to inquiries, and resolve payment discrepancies.
- Reconciliations: Perform monthly reconciliations of accounts payable balances and statements.
- Expense Reports: Review and process employee expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Compliance: Ensure all invoices are coded to the appropriate accounts and cost centers, adhering to internal financial controls and external regulations.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and organized records for audit purposes.
- Reporting: Assist in generating and analyzing accounts payable reports for management.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance the efficiency of the accounts payable process.
- 2-3 years of related experience.
- Proficiency in various computer software applications, especially Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Access.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information and maintain confidentiality.
- Demonstrated positive attitude and self-motivation.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively under minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
- Capability to work cooperatively in a team environment.
This role requires frequent sitting for prolonged periods, using hands/fingers to handle files and papers, reaching above and below desk level, talking, hearing, and seeing (up close, at a distance, along the periphery). Occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds may be required.

Estimated Salary Range:$26 per hour DOE, paid bi-weekly, which translates to approximately $53,840 per year. Benefits include health insurance, dental insurance, life insurance, vision insurance, 401(k), paid time off, and employee assistance programs.
