About the Job:
As a Pharmacy Technician at Forest View Hospital, you will assist in various pharmacy activities under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Your primary responsibilities will include preparing, dispensing, and distributing medications, as well as maintaining patient records and setting up, packaging, and labeling medication doses.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing, dispensing, and distributing medications
- Maintain patient records and ensure accurate data entry
- Set up, package, and label medication doses
- Perform tasks under minimal supervision within pharmacy standards, written procedures, and guidelines
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Certified pharmacy technician with MI licensure
- At least 1 year of prior experience as a pharmacy technician (hospital experience preferred)
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient computer skills, including experience using Microsoft Office
