Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Radiologic Imaging Specialist to join our team at 05520 AMG Womens Center Oconomowoc - Imaging Services. As a Radiologic Imaging Specialist, you will be responsible for performing various radiologic procedures, communicating with patients, and working independently to ensure accurate and efficient patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform a range of radiologic procedures, including general diagnostic, general fluoroscopy, and c-arm procedures, as assigned.
- Communicate effectively with patients to explain procedures, obtain clinical history, and address any questions or concerns.
- Position patients and select exposure factors for various radiologic examinations, providing patient protection and safety in accordance with prescribed methods.
- Identify patient and label images, compare requisitions to physician's orders, and process images to ensure quality and accuracy.
- Assist physicians, communicate with staff, and work independently outside the department with providers.
- Prepare and maintain records in accordance with regulatory agencies and enter patient and study information into the radiology information system.
- Provide technical resource support, act as a role model and/or preceptor for students and staff, and assist with accreditation efforts.
- Perform patient positioning and transporting duties, requiring lifting and pushing/pulling while utilizing proper technique.
Requirements:
- Radiographer license issued by the state of Wisconsin.
- Registered Technologist (RT) registration issued by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) within 6 months.
- Advanced training beyond High School in Radiologic Technology.
Working Conditions:
- Must be able to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders frequently throughout the workday.
- Must be able to stand/walk for the majority of the day.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. from floor to waist, lift up to 20 lbs. over the head, and carry up to 40 lbs. a reasonable distance.
- Must be able to push/pull with 30 lbs. of force and perform a sliding transfer of 150 lbs. with a second person present.
Compensation and Benefits:
We offer a competitive salary of $28.20 - $42.30 per hour, with the potential for shift differentials and yearly merit increases. Our comprehensive benefits package includes a 401(k) company contribution and employer match, as well as opportunities for professional growth and development.
