Mental Health Advocate

Oswego County Opportunities (OCO) is seeking a dedicated Mental Health Advocate to join our team. As a key member of our Mental Health Transitional Living Apartment Treatment Program, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with severe mental illness (SMI) in need of rehabilitative services.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with para-professional administrative and casework activities, including Medicaid billing.
- Provide service coordination and crisis supports to program participants.
- Carry out duties according to agency and program policies, as well as NYS Office of Mental Health regulations.
- Bachelor's degree in a Human Services-related field or equivalent experience.
- Valid New York State Driver's License and reliable vehicle for travel and transporting clients.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and handle stressful situations calmly and professionally.
