Job Title: Delivery Driver - Home Goods Specialist

Kroger, a leading grocery retailer, is seeking a highly skilled Delivery Driver - Home Goods Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our delivery team, you will be responsible for delivering excellent customer service while ensuring timely and safe delivery of customer orders.

Job Summary:

The Delivery Driver - Home Goods Specialist will serve as a brand ambassador, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a seamless delivery experience. You will be responsible for driving a company delivery vehicle, demonstrating safe and efficient driving behavior, and adhering to Kroger's driving standards. You will also be required to maintain accurate records of customer deliveries and assist fellow drivers as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide excellent customer service while delivering orders to customers.
  2. Act as a brand ambassador when discussing Kroger's Seamless Experience and delivery process with customers.
  3. Ensure a high degree of professionalism and personal presentation when interacting with customers.
  4. Drive a company vehicle safely and in accordance with Kroger's driving standards.
  5. Ensure customer orders are delivered on time and in good condition, resolving any issues that may occur.
  6. Maintain customer communication while in route to inform them of any issues or changes to their delivery in adherence with Kroger delivery standards.
  7. Control and maintain an accurate record of customer deliveries.
  8. Assist fellow drivers that may encounter difficulties while out delivering.
  9. Ensure that goods are kept within the correct temperature guidelines; monitor and record temperatures to follow food health and safety regulations.
  10. Handle product safely and in accordance with food safety guidelines; record any serious breakages or contamination issues and report to supervisor.
  11. Complete pre-inspections check of company vehicle before use and report any defects to supervisor.
  12. Operate company provided technology devices for mapping and customer interaction.

Requirements:

  1. Valid driver's license.
  2. Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  3. Must annually pass a DOT regulated medical exam.
  4. Must have a good driving record.
  5. Ability to operate a delivery van and handheld tablet device.
  6. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodation.
  7. Must be at least 21 years old.
  8. May require chauffer's license in some states.

Desired Previous Job Experience/Education:

  1. High School Diploma or GED.
  2. Any customer service experience.
  3. Any deliver driver experience.

Salary: The estimated salary for this position is $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience.
