Sayres & Associates is seeking a highly experienced Ship Post-Delivery Director to join our team in Washington DC.

About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to lead post-delivery efforts for the T-ATS program at both Bollinger and Austal shipyards. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for coordinating with stakeholders, managing budgets, and ensuring successful completion of post-delivery testing and trials.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in US Navy shipbuilding, particularly in post-delivery roles. A strong background in MSC and INSURV is essential, as well as experience working with NAVSEA Program Offices and Warfare Centers.

Main Responsibilities
  • Post-Delivery Leadership: Lead all post-delivery matters relating to the T-ATS program, including coordination with shipbuilders and government stakeholders.
  • Test Event Coordination: Plan and execute test events, including IOT&E, PSA, and FCT, ensuring timely completion and successful outcomes.
  • Budget Management: Manage the PMS 325 Post-Delivery budget, ensuring it meets requirements and allocating resources effectively.
  • Crew Familiarization and Integration: Coordinate crew move aboard (CMA) and familiarization activities, ensuring smooth integration of new crews.
  • Warranty Management: Document and manage closure of all warranty-related repairs, verifying physical completion and approving invoices for lien closures.
  • DD-250 Lead: Create and manage DD-250 lien trackers, facilitating or participating in pre-delivery trial card screenings and technical adjudication.
Requirements
  • Experience: 4+ years in US Navy shipbuilding, with a focus on post-delivery roles; 2+ years of experience with MSC and INSURV.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders. Experience with SSGC, NAVSEA 05 SDM, SUPSALV, and NAVSEA Warfare Centers is preferred.
Salary

The estimated salary range for this position is $80,000 - $120,000, depending on experience and location.
