Your Role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our Quality Control department as a Quality Assurance Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for performing analytical chemistry testing and ensuring that materials meet or do not meet requirements.

The Quality Control department is responsible for release testing of raw materials, manufactured goods, purchased materials for repackaging, and packaged goods for sale. The department consists of an analytical Chemistry lab and Microbiology lab.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform analytical chemistry testing against a multitude of analytical specifications.
  • Read and execute a variety of test methods put in place by the site, compendia, or customers.
  • Work closely with department supervisor and Team Leads to ensure that departmental tasks are completed on time.
  • Follow all safety requirements and refer to MSDS for PPE and other safety guidance.
  • Practice proper laboratory safety and waste disposal.
  • Recognize out-of-spec (OOS) results and initiate OOS investigation.
  • Pays attention to detail and brings issues to Team Lead(s) or Supervisor's attention.
  • Take on smaller projects/reoccurring tasks with minimal oversight.
  • Demonstrate Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and Data Integrity Principles.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Executing laboratory investigations.
Required Education, Qualifications, Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or Life Science field with a minimum 2 years' laboratory experience (academic or industry).
  • OR Associate degree in Chemistry or other Life Science field with a minimum of 3 years' experience outside of academic laboratories.
