Plant Engineering Supervisor

Full-time position, 80 hours per pay period, Day shift

Position Summary:
The Plant Engineering Supervisor is accountable for overseeing the daily functions of the Plant Engineering department at the assigned facility. This role includes the routine and preventive upkeep of all mechanical, electrical, and general maintenance systems.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Directs the daily operations of Plant Engineering staff.
2. Manages the utilization of building automation systems and associated equipment.
3. Ensures compliance with all necessary regulatory documentation and engages in document reviews.
4. Maintains all testing and inspection records and participates in document evaluations.
5. Schedules all Plant Engineering personnel effectively.
6. Aids in the recruitment and selection of Plant Engineering staff.
7. Conducts annual performance assessments for designated technicians.
8. Collaborates with the Multi-Site Facility Manager on workforce management and budget oversight.
9. Provides technical guidance and hands-on support for critical tasks.
10. Ensures a conducive working environment and verifies that quality standards are upheld by all personnel.
11. Local travel may be necessary.
12. Adheres to policies, procedures, and safety protocols. Completes mandatory educational assignments annually. Strives to meet organizational goals and participates in quality improvement initiatives as required.
13. Performs additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Minimum Education:

There are no specific educational requirements; however, a combination of formal education and/or relevant work experience that demonstrates the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform essential job functions is acceptable. Preference may be given to candidates who have graduated from a trade or vocational institution.


Minimum Experience:
3 years of experience as a Mechanical Technician, with at least 1 year in a supervisory capacity.

Licensure Requirement:
Candidates must possess a valid driver's license and meet the minimum standards for driving records as established by Covenant Health throughout their employment.
