Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive HR Admin/Payroll Backup to support our DOT drivers' compliance and payroll administration.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage HR functions for DOT drivers, including hiring, onboarding, and ongoing compliance monitoring.
  • Maintain accurate records for DOT drivers to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
  • Support payroll processing by calculating hours worked, verifying timecards, and assisting with payroll entries as needed.
  • Act as a backup for payroll administration, ensuring timely and accurate payroll processing.
  • Collaborate with the HR team to update employee records and comply with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, benefits, and HR policies.
  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures related to DOT compliance.
  • Assist with Certified Payroll reporting, including running reports and managing LCP Tracker.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in human resources and payroll administration.
  • Knowledge of DOT regulations and compliance requirements for drivers is a plus.
  • Proficient in payroll software and HRIS systems; experience with QuickBooks is advantageous.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to calculate payroll accurately.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative team spirit.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
