Military Documentation Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Writer to join our team at General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT). This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact as a key contributor to the Mission Training Complex Capabilities Support II (MTCCS II) program.
The successful candidate will be responsible for creating, evaluating, and refining Army and Joint Operations Plans and Orders for training or simulation-driven exercises. They will develop engaging and complex scenarios that challenge the training audience, gather observations based on unit actions during the training event, and provide input to unit After Action Reviews (AARs).
This role requires a robust combination of analytical, technical, and communication skills. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the Military Decision-Making Process (MDMP), technical expertise in the Joint Event Life Cycle, and demonstrated proficiency and understanding of MC systems.
The MTCCS II program delivers individual sustainment through collective Mission Command training, Leadership Training / Development, Warfighter Functions (WFF) training, Delta Training, First Person Simulations (Gaming), and constructive simulations-supported training. As a Technical Writer, you will work closely with our team to establish/maintain training and exercise networks, accomplish Risk Management Framework Certification and Accreditation security and risk management activities, and seize opportunities to make a personal impact.

Key Responsibilities:
- Create, evaluate, and refine Army and Joint Operations Plans and Orders for training or simulation-driven exercises.
- Develop engaging and complex scenarios that challenge the training audience.
- Gather observations based on unit actions during the training event and provide input to unit After Action Reviews (AARs).
- Maintain a comprehensive repository of relevant TTPs.
Requirements:
- BS/BA; U.S. Army MEL IV qualified or equivalent ILE.
- 12+ years of related experience; Joint military experience preferred.
- SECRET clearance required with the ability to obtain TS/SCI.
