Experienced Painter

We are seeking a skilled painter to join our team at Booko Brothers General Contractors. As a painter, you will be responsible for applying paint, stain, and other finishes to surfaces, as well as preparing surfaces for painting.
Key Responsibilities- Apply paint, stain, and other finishes to surfaces using paintbrushes, rollers, or sprayers
- Prepare surfaces for painting by washing, filling holes and cracks, and sanding
- Set up ventilators and other safety equipment to protect yourself and others from unhealthy fumes
- Assemble scaffolding as required
- Remove old finish using scrapers, chemical compounds, or blowtorches
- Estimate time and material costs on painting projects
- Clean machines, equipment, and work areas using water, solvents, and other cleaning aids
- Review and implement work orders and assignments
- Must be able to get to/from job sites (we service all of SW Michigan)
- Self-motivated and proactive
- Basic hand tools (hammer, safety glasses, wrench, screwdrivers, tool belt, etc.)
- Quick learner
- Excellent customer service
- Ability to communicate with clients to determine their painting requirements and help them make the best decisions for their projects
