Avionics Systems Engineer III

Blue Origin is seeking an experienced Avionics Systems Engineer III to join our Lunar Permanence business unit. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in developing advanced avionics systems for our Zero Boil Off (ZBO) cryocooler program.
Key Responsibilities:- Collaborate with Systems Engineering team to develop and refine avionics sub-system and component requirements
- Collaborate with other IPT's to ensure the integrated avionics solution meets the program needs (Electrical, Software, I&T)
- Develop and help execute detailed test plans for validation and verification of the avionics systems
- Manage documentation related to system design, test procedures, and results for internal use and regulatory compliance
- B.S. in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- 5+ years in avionics industry
- Full development cycle experience
- Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum
- M.S. in Systems Engineering or Electrical Engineering
- Experience working at all levels of avionics development (circuit card design, box level design, systems design)
- Prior experience developing avionics for in-space environments
- Experience with formal verification process's (DO-254, DO-178, etc)
Blue Origin offers a competitive compensation package, including a base salary range of $125,400.00-$175,560.00 for CO applicants and $136,800.00-$191,520.00 for WA applicants. Other site ranges may differ. Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis until the requisition is closed.
